Great Trinity Forest Adventure Hike!
On Saturday, February 21, bring the family to the forest without leaving town and participate in the 3rd Annual Great Trinity Forest Adventure Hike made possible by the North Texas Orienteering Association and the Trinity River Corridor Project. At this timed trial event, children and adults will have the opportunity to use their skills with just a map and compass to navigate the new trail in Rochester Park and get back to the starting point first!
Register on the North Texas Orienteering web site at www.ntoa.com to participate. The timed trail event is limited to 150 people. The event will be at Rochester Park, 3000 Municipal Street, Dallas, TX 75215 (HWY 175 South to Municipal exit).

The Challenge is on! March 7, 2009
Runners and outdoor enthusiasts mark your calendar for a spectacular run by the Trinity River made possible by the City of Dallas, Trinity Commons Foundation, Dallas Running Club, and Luke’s Locker. The 5th Annual Trinity River Levee Run is being held on March 7 at Trammell Crow Park, 3700 Sylvan Avenue, Dallas, TX 75207. Register at www.dallasrunningclub.com.
Proceeds from the 10K Race and 2 Mile Fun Run will benefit the Trinity Commons Foundation and the Dallas Running Club. This year’s race will again include a challenge between Dallas’ finest safety forces with Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle and Dallas Fire Chief Eddie Burns and their recruits vying for the Challenge trophy in the Glenn Carter Safety Challenge.
