Moore Park Gateway Construction
Drive by 1837 E. 8th Street and you will find an unusual configuration of architectural walls, a cantilevered overlook and the beginning of a new bridge across Cedar Creek. Moore Park is an 80 year old park in Dallas that is getting a face lift and part of this update is a link into the Trinity River Corridor. When complete later this year, the park will feature an impressive pavilion with icon tower, a series of attractive architectural walls, pedestrian bridge across Cedar Creek, an elevated meditation tree grove, grass Amphitheater, access to the Santa Fe Trestle Trail, and lit parking shared with DART.
Recent construction milestones include the building of the 25’ cantilevered overlook that is an integral part of the new pavilion, preparation for the pavilion’s pilaster concrete pour, installation of the pedestrian bridge base, irrigation for the tree grove, preparations for the catwalk between the pavilion and tree grove, and temporary safety rails installed on the cantilevered overlook. Massana Construction is on the move!

Through the Trinity River Corridor Project, a large gravel parking lot for horse trailer parking and improved gravel entry road is ready for visitors. In addition, a fishing pier, trail around the lake, picnic pavilions, and some of the most useful but also beautiful products of nature, trees, thrive in this portion of the Great Trinity Forest. |
