WFAA Documentary

Be sure to watch, Bridging the Trinity for the Love of the City, a documentary in the making since 2009 and put together – videography, storyline and editing – by award winning videographer Judy Kelly. The video was made possible through the Trinity Trust Foundation. The interesting documentary features the bridge from the arrival of the first pieces of steel in Houston through the bridge celebration weekend.

It is also rife with interesting interviews from the Margaret Hunt Hill family, the bridge architect Santiago Calatrava, construction workers from Williams Brothers Construction, Huitt-Zollars and J.D. Abrams; as well as City of Dallas officials. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch this insightful documentary showing what it takes to build a signature bridge.

2012 Trinity River Photo Contest

Ready. Set. Go! The 2012 Trinity River Photo Contest officially begins in June, and we invite everyone to participate in this event which admires the beauty of the Trinity River corridor. Grab your camera, family and friends, and head down to the corridor to take some snapshots of anything from architecture/structures, forests/prairies, rivers/ponds, and/or wildlife.

People of all ages are encouraged… which means you too, kids! Submit your photographs to us and you will have a chance to win a cash prize. Who doesn’t want a little extra spending money?

The rules are as follows: you can submit up to 2 photographs in each category listed above; then, send us your photos either online, by mail, or to the project office (information listed below); finally, after the contest ends on October 15th, the winners will be decided!

There will be a 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and Grand Prize winner—$125, $50, $25, and $500, respectively. Thanks to your photography skills, the City of Dallas will be able to showcase the breath-taking scenery of our city.
