It's Official, MWH Trinity River Levee Run to Cross
the New Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge

Runners sign up! Starting in West Dallas near Gulden Street, the 8th MWH Trinity River Levee Run race route will take thousands of runners across the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge on March 3, 2012. The beautiful steel bridge will be host to a weekend of festivities as Dallas gets ready for its opening.

Event organizers hint of a major concert, impressive fireworks on two nights, multiple entertainment areas, great food, parades, and other festive events and activities. Mark your calendars!

Photo Contest Winners at Fair Park!

An exciting exhibit opens the middle of December at the Museum of Nature and Science at Fair Park. A big collection of photos – it will feature both the 2009 and 2010 winning photos from the Trinity River Photo Contest. Over 100 photos of wildlife, beautiful structures, the forest, prairie, Trinity River, and ponds; it’s a long term show that will run through May of 2012! Pavaho Sump Clean-up

Keep Dallas Beautiful is doing just that by continuing to work in all areas of Dallas to clean up hundreds of pounds of trash.

Recently, the non-profit group brought in teens and mentors from throughout the Metroplex through the Heros Program to clean up around the sump area along Canada Drive just north of the construction site for the new Pavaho Pump Station. The focus was on trash and the 50 volunteers did a great job of picking up the floatables and other garbage that ends up along and in the sump from rain events.
